The album that was originally scheduled to be released in April has been pushed back til June 11th. What album is that? That would be the third studio album of the lovely and talented Chirsette Michele. The artist, who's currently featured on the Keyshia Cole, Woman to Woman tour has been working hard on not just her music but also in accepting who she is and loving the skin that she's in.
In a recent interview with Singersroom, Chrisette explained the idea of empowerment and self acceptance portrayed in her album cover art & the new album,
Better. "For the first time in my career, I feel like, you know what, I’m going
to just put this out there, if you like it you like it, if you don’t you
don’t, I’m not trying to prove anything…The heart is rich, my
art is rich, it’s honest, it’s pure, it’s true, it’s me. Love it or
leave it!
Stepping out of and away from what "others" want her to sound like or look like creates the rebirth of a new being. And it looks like this
Shining Bright in her all white. And looking ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. This is what the singer had to say about the cover during her interview with Rap-up.com.
“I’m wearing mostly white this year just because I feel I’m in the best
space I’ve ever been. And I think white exemplifies that pure feeling.”
Loving the new look and loving the fact that she's in a space where she's finally comfortable enough to be HERSELF. Just bring on the good music that will be included on this album in June.
