So if you're looking at the picture and wondering who's missing. Let me fill in the blanks for you. Royce Reed, Kenya Bell, Kesha Nichols and everyone's favorite Barbie Doll look-a-like Jennifer Williams. That's right. It looks like Executive Producer Shaunie O'Neal of the drama filled reality show, Basketball Wives has given these ladies the axe and they will NOT be apart of the Season 5 cast. Well, at least not on a permanent basis. Kenya Bell was lucky enough to be brought back on a "temporary basis" to clear up some concerns and issues she still has with some of her cast mates. In particular, Suzie Ketcham could be the center of some of Kenya's concerns. TMZ reports that during a taping of one the new episodes for season 5, at a restaurant in LA, Kenya and Suzie got into a heated argument that took a turn for the worse once Suzie threw a plate of meatballs at Kenya. The end result was a fight which is what these women have become well known for. The fighting is one major reason that Jennifer Williams will also not be returning for Season 5. Her constant cat fighting with frenemy Evelyn Lozada became too much of an issue for all of the ladies especially Shaunie, Evelyn and Jennifer. During an interview with Vibe Vixen Jennifer explained how she is ready to leave the drama behind her.
"Tahiti was the
last straw for me, we were half way around the world and I didn’t go there to
argue or fight. I just wanted peace, but soon realized that wasn’t going
to happen unless I was secluded from those that were determined to argue and
fight. Arguing with former friends, slinging dirt back and forth was
something I could have done in Miami not there."
She went on by extending her well wishes to the rest of the ladies.
“Even
though this has been a trying season, I hope at some point my cast mates can
get along and be civil with one another. I will always appreciate Basketball
Wives Season 4 and this time in my life for the abundant lessons learned and
personal growth I was forced to face. We all have our own individual
imperfections, but I also believe we all have a good heart. As women of
color it is important we uplift and support one another. I wish all my
cast mates continued success and best wishes with their future endeavors"
